Hougaard re-signs with Bulls Wednesday, November 25, 2009 (08:27:09) Francois Hougaard has signed a new three year contract with the Vodacom Blue Bulls. The Blue Bulls announced the news on Wednesday that they had re-signed the young Springbok utility back. The 21-year-old joined the Bulls at the end of 2007, moving North from Western Province one year after school. Hougaard made his Super 14 debut as a 19-year-old for the Vodacom Bulls in 2008 and some good performances in this year’s Absa Currie Cup the national selectors have included him in the Springboks’ end of the year tour squad. He played in both of the Boks’ midweek matches and on 21 November 2009 he made his test debut for South Africa against Italy in Udine. He will remain in Pretoria until 2012 on this current deal.
