I believe the Brumbies are turning for the worst.
Bulls better pick up on their game.
Sharks should walk this one for their 1st win
Stormers defence too strong.

I'm going to back a contraversial win for the Brumbies. by 6

Stormers by 6

Agree with Unbaised on everything. Brumbies are struggling but the Blues fall apart 15 mins into the 2nd half. It's a 50/50 call on that one!

The Blues has started the season yet, so to speak. This could be it.
Hurricanes are desperate for a win. Bulls are lazy in 2nd half. Bulls don't have much of a backline defence + their heads are too big.
I am really sorry, but the Lions will suffer at the hands of the Crusaders.
The Sharks has a chance at winning. Let us hope it works.
Waratahs are just too strong.
Stormers on a roll. Cheetahs doesn't have the ability to break through their defence.

I think it is safe to say that from now on every game (except against the Lions) will involve slow poison. Confused

What happens if Fourie Du Preez and Francois Hougaard get injured??? Who will play scrummy?

By BullsRob - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
I will.... can't be that different to my normal position of loose head.

By crazysharksman - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
O ok Bullsknob now I get it! Sharks teased you cause you were a fat kid. Exclamation

By Moejo - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Can't believe they are playing Earl Rose again
Why not give Micheal Killian a chance.

By Boesman - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Outcomes this weekend:

Brumbies
Bulls
Crusaders
Sharks
Waratahs
Stormers

,if all goes according to plan. Blues/Brumbies is the only real 50/50 game.

CSM - Easy on the fat jokes mate - when last did you see the banana front rowers....

By bbvb - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Madman- The Bulls seriously cant play 3 scrumhalves in their 22. That is the problem with too much depth. Someone has to be dropped and you cant leave out guys like Van Der Merwe, Kuun, Potgieter, Wannenburg or VD Westhuisen.

What would happen to the Stormers if Peter Grant and Joe Pietersen get injured?

What would happen to the Cheetahs of Tewis De Bruyn and Sarel Pretorius get injured?

There is always a risk with any selection.

By soutie - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
no riaan viljoen for cheetahs?????? am i missing something?

By Madman - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
bbvb- The only 2 player capable of playing scrummy in the squad is Fourie Du Preez and Francois Hougaard, and both of them are in the starting lineup, Francois Hougaard is palying wing, so there is a small chance both could get injured in the game, Thus no backup scrummy??

By youliedtometappe - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Vijoen is suspended for breaking team protocol.

By lash - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
if andy goode can be a "fat-kid-flyhalf" for the sharks then i'll back BullsRob as a scrummy! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I reckon stormers are going to win but a fair bit more than most people expect, not a huge amount, say 13.
The rest of the games are pretty good except saders and lions, that's going to be a blood bath.
Blues to have too much up front for the brumbies

seriously daroooster saders by 12?? Dude the Crusaders are just going to put them under immense pressure for the first 20 the flood gates will burst open and it is going to be a complete landslide, sorry m8 but the Lions are useless the only team that looks like it should be in some over division of rugby

By halfgap - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Hope Corey flynn gets a start. this is the ideal game to see if he is match fit or not. paulo is in good form, if flynn gets back to his best the saders have some serious hookers.

By sebastienchabal - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
I see the Kiwi bird has started chirping again....this time about "overkill", the problem with fragile NZ egos.Bloody bullies! The Lions have their problems but can only improve. This tendancy to overprove a point is misleading,2007 classic example....Portugal 108-13; Romania 85-8;Scotland 40-0 and then choke on a French side that was twice beaten by Argenina. The Boks on the otherhand just win their games without "overkill" take 1995 for example Romania 24-8;Canada 20-0 and then go on to claim the Webb Ellis trophy.

Crazysharksman does not sound like a Shark man....speaks like a zef??

By Jack - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
I'm a South African and I feel for the Lions, but C'MON 'Saders! About a half of my testrugby team is comprised of Crusader players this week, so I'm seriously hoping to make bank on a 50+ score. Laughing

I hope Earl Rose has another "Pearler"! Laughing

By kiwijimmy89 - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
lol Chabel you have gone way off topic this aint the world cup or the All Black, its the crusaders..............seven time champions and I'm sorry but the lions are a joke how is a professional team so bad that they let the oppisition score 70+ points? They are going to get a hiding

By crazysharksman - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
For the first time ever I agree with Kiwi.. Chabal your comments are off the topic and very irrelevant.

By soutie - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
great to see Lambie starting for the sharks. Ndungane doesnt let the team down (nowadays)but doesnt offer anything special. Terblanche on the wing means Lambie would have the support of 2 quality springboks. great selection here!!!

By sebastienchabal - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
@###$##$% Kiwijimmie have you already stirred the SA rednecks against me ,, I am not off key but on a subject that affects all rugby results in general.. sorry but you sound like a nice decent NZ guy but not university level!!

By BullsRob - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
CSM - you think Chabals comments are off topic? Who's the one calling people fat kids? Ha ha ha....

I play prop cause here in the UK most of their props are useless and moving from 8th to prop wasn't as difficult as you might think.

I like you, I like our banter but lets keep it about how awesome the Bulls are and what under-achievers the Sharks are.... you know. Facts!

By BokkeIntl-85 - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Really hope The Sharks can pull something out of the bag this weekend.

Oh no Bullsknob, our argument has been going on for far longer than just this article so its very relivant..

As for you claiming you are an 8th man but you have to play prop? HAHAHA yeah right, nice one, you are not the first fat kid I've heard saying that.. ppfff!

By half-back - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
I'm a Crusader through and through, but a wounded animal is always dangerous, the lions gave us a tough time last season and they were just as shocking. The Saders should have selected a strong starting team, kill off the tie by half time, then make wholesale changes in the second half. Sport has no therefore, especially at Super14 level...

By Gron - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
kjimmy89, hey. Don't forget the Chiefs loss to the Bulls in the final last year. Smile

By sebastienchabal - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Half-back... first intelligent observation coming from a Crusader fan.The Lions look a rank outsider on paper (after the total collapse against The Tahs)however a wounded animal is always dangerous....and any side that can score 9 tries against The Chiefs and lose by a narrow margin can surprise...just wait and see.Lets talk afterwards.Pride is a very strong element in rugby and some people suffer from incredibly short memories.

By BullsRob - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
CokSuckingMouth - You are becoming a bit of a keyboard cowboy.... cool your jets bud. If you can't handle the banter then don't play the game.

Go Highlanders!!

By sebastienchabal - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Listen you foul-mouthed red-neck(bullsrob)manage your anger (and perhaps your road rage problem).Do not embarrass SA. Lets support all SA teams and rinse your mouth out. Go Sharks, Bulls and Lions. We are all behind you.

By sebastienchabal - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Nice one Sharkies...is bullsrob still shouting for Highlanders

By BullsRob - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Yh, Not just the Huighlanders... anyone the Sharks play against.

By BullsForever - Castle Braai recommendations: 0
Must say that I dont diss-agree with bullsrob. I don't really like any of the other SA teams either. Why should I? they have their own fans....

I live in NZ and you wouldnt find an Aucklander ever supporting the Crusaders nor a Chief suporting Hurricanes. You don't think you're taking "National solidarity" a little to far? Rivalry is good for sport, especially rugby. It just looks to me like the banter seems to have gotten quite personal.

You should all take a time out....
