Steyn back for Sharks
Francois Steyn will run out in the number fifteen jersey when the Sharks play host to the Crusaders at Kings Park in Durban on Friday.
The Springbok back struggled for form during the first few games of the competition and was subsequently dropped for the last match against the Rebels, which John Plumtree's men won by a record 64-7 score.
His inclusion is one of three changes made by the coach for the clash against the New Zealand powerhouse, the others being the return of Bok pair Odwa Ndungane and Jannie du Plessis for Lwazi Mvovo and Wiehahn Herbst respectively.
"Obviously Frans has a long kicking game, defensively he's very sound," said Plumtree.
"He'll get a little bit more space to attack, so it will be good to see how he goes."
Steyn gets his chance in the number 15 jersey due to an injury to Louis Ludik, who is bracketed on the bench along with Sbura Sithole.
"He (Ludik) has a problem with his shoulder, but I'm hoping he's going to be a lot better by tomorrow," added Plumtree.
Anton Bresler is fit again after a shoulder injury, but has to make do with a place on the bench with rising young star Pieter-Steph du Toit retaining his place in the XV.
"Part of what I wanted to do with Pieter-Steph this year was to develop him in super rugby," said the Sharks coach.
"I gave him that opportunity against the Rebels and he really took it, so I wanted to reward him with another chance.
"Anton's fuming with having to sit on the bench, but he'll get the opportunity to come on at some point, I'm sure."
