Fourie picked by Barbarians
Mar 06,2013
Former Springbok centre Jaque Fourie will make a return to Test rugby after being named in the Barbarians squad to face the British & Irish Lions.
Fourie retired from international rugby following the 2011 Rugby World Cup and is currently played in Japan with the Kobe Steel side.
He will be joined in the squad by Sergio Parisse, Martin Castrogiovanni, Kahn Fotuali'i & Imanol Harinordoquy.
The invitational side announced the first five names of their squad on Tuesday that will play the British & Irish Lions in Hong Kong and also against England at Twickenham.
Fotuali'i, hailed as one of the most exciting players in world rugby by the Barbarians, will turn out for the invitational side ahead of his move to Northampton Saints from the Ospreys.
Parisse, Harinordoquy and Castrogiovanni will all offer great Test experience in the pack. More names are set to be added to the Barbarians squad in the coming weeks.
