The Kings have suffered an early blow to their debut Super Rugby campaign after losing hooker Hannes Franklin to injury.

The 31-year-old tore his medial collateral ligament during a training session and has now been ruled out for at least four months after undergoing surgery on his knee.

Eastern Province Kings flanker Conraad Johannes (Boetie) Britz has been called up to the Kings squad following Franklin's injury, and is set to be converted from loose forward to hooker in Franklin's absence.

Losing a HOOKER in that neck of the woods should not be a problem.

Cheeky and Puke have for the last year/s been claiming that their is a wealth of talent in their backyard, so go get a HOOKER.

No Cheeky not the type you are familiar with in the townships but one that can play rugby.
