South Africa lock Eben Etzebeth is free to play against England on Saturday after being cleared of eye-gouging against Scotland last weekend.

A disciplinary hearing examined footage of an incident in the second half of South Africa's 21-10 win at Murrayfield involving the second-row and Scotland fly-half Greig Laidlaw.

The Springbok lock was cited for allegedly making contact with the "eye or eye area" of Laidlaw.

The South African Rugby Union announced the verdict on their official Twitter page, saying: "Good news on Eben Etzebeth - he's not guilty and free to play against England on Saturday."

There could be no other verdict. So heaps of egg flowing the way of Jallopy and some kiwi bird brains who jumped to all sorts of weird conclusions onthe Ruckers Forum!  Hahhahahahaha

Hope this fires up the young man and the rest of the team.

Don't worry those inbreeding islanders will soon need to shut their mouths. They seem to forget they are the only team that remained the same after the world cup, everyone else needed to start from scratch, lets talk when we are at full strength again.

The heat is on! This kid must be making them shit ice cubes! Every time we have a Tank in the team they try and sabotage him. I think the refs and linesmen are acting like gods of the game these days. There should be something in place to repremand them for poor decision making and being byest. As i have noticed this is what the Aussie, kiwi, and Northern Hem Refs have become. And if you even say a SA is that way i will not accept that from anybody. We have the most professional Refs. Now please dont even reply to this because you will just be acting like one of the above! We are going to take the number one spot so enjoy the last few months on top NZ! We coming to get you and everyone else! hahaha yaaaaaa
