The Currie Cup-winning Western Province squad will embark on a victory parade through three parts of Cape Town on Tuesday, October 30.

Both players and management will be joined by Western Cape Premier Helen Zille and Cape Town City Mayor Patricia de Lille to celebrate their dramatic 25-18 win over the Sharks in Saturday's Currie Cup Final.

Three busses, made up of all the players who featured in the 2012 Currie Cup season, team management, VIPs and the media will begin a parade at Cape Town City Hill, before going on to Elsiesriver and Khayelitsha to meet more fans.

The Mayor will arrive at City Hall at 12.45pm and will be met by the team, coaches and the trophy on the balcony facing the parade and will address the crowd.

The busses will then make their way through Adderley Street, Wale Street, Long Street, Buitengracht Street, Loop Street and Strand Street. The busses will then head to Elsiesriver (the parking on the corner of the Elsiesriver Civic Centre and Shawco) and Khayelitsha (to Site B Centre) to complete the victory parade.

Come on folks let not get carried away here and behave like blowhard sharkies !!

But well done to all even though it is a lessor achievement than the SA Conference win it still appears to mean a lot to many to folk perhaps less informed with reagfrd to rugbymatters. i have to admit whipping the blowhard sharkies in their backyard was a great pleasure.

I have a feeling you're the only one that rates topping the SA conference that much, it means nothing if you don't win the Super Rugby title.
