Cooper Could Miss Sharks Clash
Jul 14,2012
Reds flyhalf Quade Cooper could miss the Super Rugby Qualifier against the Sharks after being cited for alleged foul play during Saturday’s match against the Waratahs.
Cooper is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous Tackling when he tackled Berrick Barnes, making contact above the line of the shoulders of the opposing player in the 63rd minute of the match at Suncorp Stadium.
Referee Steve Walsh issued a yellow and white card for the incident.
Upon further review of the match footage the citing commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play
The citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Nicholas Davidson QC.

Ban him. End of story. These type of high tackles were trade mark tackles by NewZealanders. They have dropped off the radar significantly and we dont want them coming back into the game.
