May 27,2012
Lions prop CJ van der Linde has been cited for alleged foul play in ther Super Rugby clash against the Force in Perth on Saturday.
Van der Linde is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (m) Acts contrary to good sportsmanship, when he allegedly bit Force lock Toby Lynn at the back of a ruck while the players were involved in a clean-out.
The incident occurred in the 10th minute of the match at NIB Stadium, which the Force won 17-11.
The referee, Garratt Williamson, referred the incident to the citing commissioner by issuing a white card following a complaint by Force captain David Pocock.
Upon further review of the match footage the citing commissioner deemed in his opinion that the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play.
The citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Mike Heron.

Pocock whinging again. No suprises there. Oh well, It doesnt really matter. CJ will get off or suffer an offensively light penance for yet another example of SÁ'n thuggery. Whats funny is the moist knickered fanboys still complain about Saffas being unfairly targeted by IRB officials struggling to artificially enforce NZ's rugby supremacy by manufacturing fictitious incidents. LOL!
