Butch Banned For Four Weeks
Apr 29,2012
Butch James has been banned for four weeks for a shoulder charge during the Lions’ 34-20 loss to the Brumbies on Friday.
SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Mike Heron accepted a guilty plea from James of the Lions for contravening Law 10.4 (h) A player must not charge into a ruck or maul.
Charging includes any contact made without use of the arms, or without grasping that player, when he charged into a ruck near the Brumbies goal line and made contact with Brumbies player Scott Fardy after a penalty had been blown to the Lions in the 63rd minute of the match between the Lions and Brumbies in Johannesburg at Coca Cola Park.
James has subsequently been suspended from all forms of the game for the four weeks to and including Saturday 26 May 2012.

This is just so much nonsense- I have just this weekend seen the same type of entry into erucks by several
NZ players and not even a penalty resulted. I gues SA teams are just judge by a different yardstick.

Please post some links so we can all judge for ourselves whether Butchs "entry" (blatant shoulder charge) was no worse than NZ players. Otherwise youre just talking out a hole in your arse.
BTW, change the record boet as this incessant whinging about an imaginary "persecution complex" is getting really old if not psychotic.

Gents, Butch deserved the citing and the ban, but what I don't get is last week Chiefs vs Sharks, the Chiefs player (Can't remember his name) tackled Mvovo with no arms and managed to injure himself and Mvovo....and not even a citing, ban, mention, nothing. It was just as dangerous, if not more dangerous because both players landed up injured...but nothing.
Consistency, thats all I want to see.

I agree he even started accelerating about two metres from the player to do as much harm as possible cheep shot.
We have also seen a full on punch up in Australia and the Zansar sighting committee not seeing anything rong with it.Lets see what happens about the punching in the cheetas game last weekend.
And just a thought.... The Loins gave the Kings a 88 nil thrashing in January as a warm up game (Lions 88 Kings0) what do you thing the Crusaders are going to do to them or even the Rebels Its going to be a joke. 145 Nil

LOL! Are you talking about that tackle by Masaga on Mvovo which Bobby Skinstadt referred to as a "coconut tackle"? If you dont already know, "coconut" is a derogatory term for polynesians, much like your kaffir. In my mind we're just about even unless of course you think a racial sulr is on par with a reckless head clash?
How come this stuff dont make the news in SA?
