I have seen in the Media that Imran Tahir is going to get on a plane travel to Pakistan and revisit his old Mentor and cricket Legend Abdul Qadir. To fix some issues with his bowling.

Now clearly i was not under the impression that there were any issues with Imran's bwoling I think he has done well taking into account the conditions in which he has played Test Cricket so far.

1 Agaisnt Sri Lanka (who play spin very well) in South Africa(clear semer friendly pitches)

2. Against New Zealand on Dropped inn pitches with no real turn.

3. In test matches that have not gone on to the last day where the breaking up of the pitch will clearly assist him.

It seems that there are issues with his bowling, Hell I was clearly mistaken, I didn't think there was.

Then again he is getting quite old, and he probably wants to make a big impact with the little time he has left of his test career.

England might then be his last chance to show that he has it, so he is preparing well for it i guess.

Taking into account that the English batsmen have recently donje extremely bad against Pakistani spin and all the attention and hype on Steyn, Philander and Morkel. He might be our secret weapon, or is it his last chance to prove himself?

I think there are issue wwith his bowling Ek he simply does not have quite enough control. A batsmen can wait for the release ball. Is he doesn't step up who would replace him - Johan Botha?

Age is not such a factor with spinners soTahir, if his good enough, probably has about 5 years maybe.

Well if you pick Botha in Tahir's place in the test Squad you replace a wicket taking bowler with another Holding bowler, so we are at the exact same spot we were with Harris.

We can use Duminy in the side as a Holding spinner if they give him a chance.  Botha is a one day spinner I won't use him in tests.

Reason i like Tahir, he gives you widket taking options instead of just bringingthe runrate lower and this is what you need in test cricket, It's not one day cricket. So yes.

I have nothing against Tahir and I don't believe there are any issues with his action, that is the reason for the post and the questions on whyy is he actually going to pakistan for some help from the legend.

relating to the last question of if this is his last chance taking into account the percieved weekness of the England batting side when it comes to playing spin.

EK I was quite excited when Tahir got in and had high hopes but its been pretty average realisations. Good idea though for him to seek some expert help.

It was a huge pity when Botha was forbidden to bowl his dorsra - that is what prevented him from being  a real serious wicket taker.

Hi Beeno, as explained above, I don't think Tahir has been so innefective.

Perhaps so but surely you must question his control. Sure heis a wrist spinner but even so. Look on ehopes he gets it right because we have not had a wrist spinner in many many years.

Having one is also protection against sides with spinners preparing turning wickets when we have no counter. We wish Tahir well.
