Go the Bulls
March 25, 2012, 00:53:06

When that Bulls machine fires it really fires. Huge games from Kirchner, Basson, Olivier, Hougaard, Spies, Stander, Arno Botha, Potgieter, Flip, Chiliboy and Greyling.......one really has to laugh on some of the takes from some posters on the abilities of players like Kirchner, Olivier, Spies, Flip and Greyling - what rubbish is all I can say

Morne and Spies were huge.

Yeah Morne kicked well as he always does - other than that he did squat.

Fouche in the little time he was on the field was far better than Morne with ball in hand

Kirchner, Basson, Spies and Mesiekind are always huge when the opposition is non existent. Put them in tests and they disappear. And old Flip....hahahaha.....last week he wasn't your choice, now he's back again. Greyling is a scrumming novice and I see old Werner was scrumming on his hands again. Nothing much to learn from this.

My prediction is when the Bulls leave Pamplona they will also leave winning behind.

Moz, your favourite pasttime is putting words in my mouth. Where on earth do you get that Flip was not my choice. I just said Etzebeth is better. That does not mean Flip is any worse than I have ever rated him. The lad is a great lock as he showed with his physicality today and shown in every test he has played for SA. Flip is better than most test locks out there. Bakkies was better than him, but he is better than the likes of Thorne, Mauritz Botha or O'Connel.

Spies has always been a great test player and its good to see him back in form. Kirchner is a great attacking player and Olivier would have been a great Bok 12 had Jean not been around. Nothing wrong with Greylings scrumming at all and his work in general play is great. You have all these players so wrongs as you do most players

The Bull's only genuine weakness is their poor scrum. Greyling is utterly useless, easily the worst loosehead in the competition.

"Spies has always been a great test player and its good to see him back in form."

"...always been a great test player...." you say.....even when he was out of form? How can that be?

And what exactly did he do at the WC that was "great"?

Flip is so good Dave that the Bools preferred Danie Rossouw last year when the chips were down. As for the rest they will NEVER be a point of competitive advantage if played in tests. Good is a relative thing.....and relative to their likely TN opponents all these players give away an edge or worse.

Yes they went with Danie's experience - hardly a poor player - not the selection I would have made. Flip was good all year as he has been this year. Yesterday he was damn good, the best 4 of the weekend by some distance

Card I see your take on loosehead play is up there with your take on Bismark and Jean - carries about as much weight!!! Greyling was awesome for the Bulls and his scrumming was fine

Greying had  a very good game at loosehead!!!  He scrummed well and was powerful and active in the tight loose. Morne was back to form with the boot and solid

The bulle have boosted their loose forwards. Jaque Potgieter is a man to watch. Really physical and has all the attributes at 114 kg and pacy.

Spiesies tried and looked better. Fowards who did not shape that well were Juandre kruger and Chilli boy. Wepenaar was better when he came on and should start for thee bulle. Juandre loks more like a 7 rather than a lock. I think he could be a very good seven.  He is nogoing to be a Bok lock and at 110 kg his lack of physicality is obvious. He is more of a lock than wee victoria and the bulle could carry him a bit like they did victoria. Nevertheless I think they could do better with  a genuine lock to partner Flip and this guy could may a world class 7 as he has real pace.

Beeno, please stop speaking complete and utter sh1t when it comes to Chiliboy. The lad has been in fantastic form all S15 and to insult us with that nonsense that Wepner is better is pathetic. Wepner is not good enough to play CC rugby.

Chiliboy is by some distance our second best hooker behind Bismark, the best hooker in the game. I really rate Strauss, but Chiliboy is better
