Plaqyers ratings according to Foxsport

The following ratings are from a purely SA perspective of interest taking into account all performance in Rounds 1 to 5:- Flyhalf The highest rated player in this position is anscombe - but he actually only plays at full back and not at flyhalf - where Foxsport has registered him as a player. For the purpose of this item I am leaving him out. The scores are as follows: 1 Lambie - 111 points 2 Steyn - 104 points Goosen is increasing his ratings rapidly and has shown an improvement in each game he played in since round 3. Loosies 1 Labuschagne - 137 points Arno Botha came in fourth with 120 points and Coetzee 7th wuith 120 points. Coetzee was poor in the Kings game and it cost him dearly. In the Brumbies game he scored top points compared to other loosies of SA. Scrummies 1 Sarel Pretorius - 68 points The second best scrummie for any SA team was Nic Groom with 26 points - followed by Cobus Reinach with 25 points and Hougaard with 22 points. Hookers The SA Hookrers did not do too badly at all. The 3rd highest ranked hooker was Fourie with 127 points - but he played one less game than the second highest point-scorer did - so he can still make a higher position if he is in thestarting line-up this coming week. The 6th rated hooker is Strauss with 93 points. He had a bad game against the Chiefs - but subsequently started to improve his pointsscoring. Can't wait for Bismark to start playing. For the rest there was nothing of note. As a mattr of interest the Test Rugby competition rates De Allende - with one less game than Steyn - way above Steyn insofar as pointscoring is concerned.
