The Highveld Lions win in bad weather conditons is the lastest saga of the poor showing in general of the 4 major Indian teams in the competition. The Mumbai Indians, Kolkatta Knight Riders and Chenni Super Kings did not survive the round-robin stage of the series - and now it is the Delhi Daredevils turn in the semi to go out. Something must have gone wrong in the system - The Indian teams have top players from around the world playing for them - while the SA teams have to contend with losing of players playing for the Indian teams (eg the Morkel Brothers and Faf du Plessis from the Titans) as well as injury - and have thus effectively been weakened somwehat. I think there are a number of issues accounting for the relatively poor eprformances of the Indian teams - namely the teams not yelding. unfamiliarity with playing conditions, the ehav toll of wearther interuption, etc. I give the Titans a snall chance of beating the Sidney Sixers despite the loss of players mentioned above - they have homeground advantage - so lets hope for the best.
