Saturday - early result forecast
August 16, 2012, 06:08:37

I believe that SA will win the Saturday test by a margin of 15 to 20+ points.

If they win by less points it would show up some weaknesses in the squad that would be a disaster later on in the competition.  Another problem is that a win - even the one forecasted by me - could have both a positive and negative impact on later games.   On the positive side it could give them confidence during the rest of the competition - on the negative side they could be over-confident and come down gadly in succeeding tests.

I think thats a fair assesment mike - however confidence I am not sure unless they have a massive win as they know the quality and intensity of play will be a click or two down from the other two participating nations.

We also need to have a good win because the Argies are and will be pretty good at home. We are just lucky that we aren't playing them in Rosario where they are fanatical in that region. Good luck to the Ozzies when they play there.

I wonder how long HM we persist with KD at the back of the scrum and whether he takes him on to the second and third phase of the comp

If we really win well it could also create a false impression re players. Keegan for example might shime if our forwards are very much in control and he can play as an extra backline player.

I could not agree more Beeno1, not only for individual players but the whole team.

You yarpies might struggle as the Argies are pretty good soccer players. Then again soccer is SA national sport too is'nt it?

Seriously though i see they've cancelled the Argentina leg of the IRB Sevens competition so worried are they about rugby taking over from their national sport.  Therefore kinda hard to take them seriously which is why i question their inclusion.

Maybe Argentina will prove me wrong and kick some yarpie butt. If you all remember you're allowed to pick up the ball and run with it you'll be okay.
