I thoroughly enjoyed it. When you say this board is a Terra Nova experience, I hope you're not referring to us as all old dinosaurs??

Well its a terra nova expereince because its starting afresh. When I first visited here there was nobody. Deathly quiet.

Terra Nova is supposedly about starting afresh and not making the same mistakes. Some of which I saw was not valuing posters and not valuing integrity etc etc etc.

Anyhow what a concept going back 85 million years and no way back If your loved ones are left behind thats it.

Hope ths world is not heading for a slow death as depicted!  All the trees cut down people unable to breath etc. Smog and twilight.

Hey Denny, beeno 2 is clearly bedpan. Note the use of the word ars*wipe. This is his trademark term.

Also the one liners - never goes beyond that. Just yaps away 24/7 in that high pitched yap.

He followed me around the supersupporter board like a little doggie yapping for attention. bedpan you need help boet you have to try and get over your obsession!  Yapping away here and on supersupporter will be too much for you, you will wear yourself out!

Or maybe there is nobody left to yap against anymore on suppersupporter so, as you have to get it out, you come here? Tell Dr Beeno your problems bedpan.

@Beeno. OK, I still do not get what this Terra Nova thing is about and I cannot see any link with that and this site, but if that rocks your boat.......... fine. I do not think that this board is such a new or a fresh start for any of the existing members though. Some of just haven't been posting here a lot since it was changed. I have seen noted one of the old members on an Ausie board earlier today, and tried to send him a PM, but it wouldn't go through.

Don't make too much of the comment as it may not be generally applicable.

Nice try re that old member and maybe persevere?

Board is building up nicely.

@ Beeno

I mentioned before the "crash" that I was familiar with supersuporter. I never posted but read it quite regularly. Who is bedpan? Cant recall that name.

Bedpan is tai pan. I called him tai pain because of his incessant yapping. Moz however started calling him bedpan which I though pretty much spot on so I adopted that name.

We are expecting a number more from supersupporter to join here. There are also some exceptional posters who have said they are joining here shortly.  Already we have seven former supersupporter folk here and another one is trying right now to register.

My guess is we will overtake supersupporter in the not too distant future.

@Hi Jinx

I think supersupporter is a decent site. Some good posters there and gets really interesting during the season proper. The recent issues actually involve most of the guys here....all a bit of a joke really. Some take cyberspace very seriously.

I must confess....I am registered there but have not made many posts, maybe about 50 or so since it started. I dont have the time so just enjoy reading mostly during some down time.

its not half as bad as some make out and some of the comments made here are complete bull as far as I'm concerned. Anyway I dont want to get involved in the mudslinging. I'll make my few posts both sides and try and enjoy both boards.

Ceradyne, you say that some of the regulars have dropped off or don't post as much since the board change. .....my question is, why? ...and what was the old format like compared to the new?

Say Beeno, I might disagree about Beeno 2 being TC Twit or Bedpan, in the wash it comes to the same as they slip slide away shrieking for our attention, the important thing is the big....Ignore..... Hahahahaha

Damn, we need an edit function.

Allow me to correct myself. I know about the circumstances of Alucard leaving and Beeno leaving. I'm not too certain why you and mozart got kicked out.

@Denny, from what I can remember, it had more functionality, and I am not too sure, but I seem to recall that it id have an edit function, etc. I can still picture the layout. What I do remember is that I haven't posted for a while, and then when I log in through the link that I had in my bookmarks, this site and format came up, and I noticed that there were hardly any activity on it. As I said, I noticed a post by Oom PB on Green and Gold a day or two ago, and from his avatar, he must have been Paarlbok, from this site. I am sure that the PB would be for Paarlbok, and it was the same avatar that he used on here. They must have been posting on here until last year sometime, because I noticed some of the names in old posts before the site was hacked the other day, and all the posts were lost.

Why they stopped posting, I wouldn't know, because I wasn't posting on here at the time that the changes were made. I have however noted that not veven during the RWC did this "forum" generate any activity.

I'm afraid you've just vindicated my statement which means you'll have to correct yourself...Again.

1) Mozart and myself were never kicked out...we left of our own accord!

2) Beeno got banned, he was never allowed to leave simply  because he'd said that he wouldn't be posting on that site on a regular basis and that he'd be posting on here more often.

I hope that gives more validation to my original statement.

I'm trying to understand the history of this board and maybe the other regulars should join in if they can help to enlighten myself and others.

Thanks for your effort but you really haven't stated whether the old format was a better one than the current one.

@Denny. The look was much different, and from what I can remember, I am sure that you were able to quote and reply to a post, like you normally do on forums, when proper forum software is used. I frequent a number of forums and they all use a specific forum software. Planetrugby, PlanetF1, etc has a facility where you have their main site, which is a media site, but when you go to their forum link, it redirects you to their  "forumsite", which has the facilities that you are after, i.e. the edit function. On the old Supersport website, for instance, you were also redirected to a new page, when you followed the forum link from the main Supersport webpage.

Ceradyne
Thanks mate, from what you say I gather that the old board was better or should I say had a better format than the current one. I guess we'll never know why it changed but hopefully it will now change for the better.

Still I can't figure why this board never took off, maybe there was too much competition around. I started off with SARU, they had a great board, we discussed everything and it had a good family feel about it. The odd idiot automatically knew that he didn't belong and they either soon leave or we'd flush them away. Of course when Supersport shutdown we were flooded with new  posters.

I'm trying my level best to encourage more posters to this board, if they all come along as promised we should have a reasonably busy site.

@Denny.

As I said I know about the circumstances of Alucard and Beeno leaving, but not you and Mozart. Kicked off or left, whatever. Why you guys left, I dont know. I do  not recall any serious attacks on either of you.

@Beeno, what I understand is that you made it known on the board that you preferred to post here because the other three were here. You said you would still post occasionaly on SS but once the rugby started you would remain here. Essentially you were letting all know you time on that board was coming to an end.

juzzy I said many times I did not want my account deleted and would come back and say hi to the board etc.

Now what is very very  interesting is why you would lie like this.

You said you were posting  on SS board. What is the name you post under on SS board?

@Beeno, where did I lie? You did say you would spend most of your time here once the rugby started. Not sure why you're so fazed about it, you seem quite settled here. Let it go.

My name on SS is irrelevant, like I said before I hardly ever posted there.

What hole is that? I merely answered a question put to me with how I perceived the issue. Now I get called a liar and get told I'm digging a hole for myself. Actually i'm just here to discuss rugby, and not get involved in you guys issues with SS. Perhaps you should also just let it go.

Peace.

The hole is when you claimed you knew what had transpired  when clearly you do not as evidenced by "let me correct myself" and I responded by telling you, you will have to correct yourself again because you still have it wrong .

And for someone who claims not wanting to get involved, well you do with this line....."and some of the comments made here are complete bull as far as I'm concerned." ...that is unless you're referring to your own and your own only.

Kick and scream all you like, you've totally contradicted yourself and you clearly don't know the facts regardless of your claim "I was there" hence the reason I go back to what I've originally claimed and i.e that you're in no position to comment.

Perhaps you should read through your own posts and compare it against mine....add a touch of honesty....accept that you've got it hopelessly wrong.....then let it go. Kicking and screaming only makes matters worse.

Hey Juzzy if your hole is as deep as the one the Lions found themselves in last night then you are deep in the doodoo. i am depressed.

As for the Drama, i far prefer my rugby with less of the prima donas and more of the ball. so leave these guys to their hair curlers and bitch fights. who do you support anyhow ? if you say the Stormers i may shed a few tears. But despite that the Lions will be back. John has a plan.

Guys, I'm a peacable fella. I don't know you and you don't know me. It's quite simple, we can all get along or we can carry on with insults and innuendo. Trust me, no-one wins. I'm busting my gut to increase membership, without healthy traffic we're going to suffocate on boredom. Please help if you can and lets   try to get on with each other and together make a success of this board. Thus far I've counted 4 regulars. I'm a great believer that it's people who make the board not anyone individual.

I thank you

@Hi-Jinx....I'm a Lion as you are....so what can I say!! At least I live in Durban so I can pretend to be a guppy if it all goes belly up LOL.  Anyway I dont read much into the warm ups so we'll see what happens. I wish the game has been televised, then we can make a better judgement.

As far as this board is concerned I'm not too sure I'll stick around. I see some baggage that has the potential to cause plenty shyte here. Jeez, I was asked a question, I gave an answer as to what I perceived then get called a liar. Every board seems to have its self-appointed moral masters and this one seems to be no different.
